DENVER (KDVR) — Very little seems to sour homebuyers in the Denver metro area. The Front Range housing market has been characterized by limited supply, limited development and stratospheric prices for the better part of three years. This would require a roughly $200,000 household income, assuming current interest rates, a 30-year mortgage and a 20% down payment. This is the household income threshold for the top 10% of American households, according to the World Economic Forum. Colorado cities rank highest for DUI arrests per capita That top 10% is still snapping up homes around the Denver metro faster than almost anywhere in the U.S. A Denver area home sat on the market for 28 days before it sold in March, according to the Realtor.com report...

(CNN) — Special counsel prosecutors have secured evidence including daily notes, texts, emails and photographs and are focused on cataloguing how Donald Trump handled classified records around the Mar-a-Lago resort and those who may have witnessed the former president with them, according to multiple sources familiar with the investigation. The new details come amid signs the Justice Department is taking steps typical of near the end of an investigation. The recent investigative activity before a federal grand jury in Washington, DC, also includes subpoenaing witnesses in March and April who had previously spoken to investigators, the sources said. While the FBI interviewed many aides and workers at Mar-a-Lago nearly a year ago voluntarily, grand jury appearances are transcribed and under-oath — an indication the prosecutors are locking in witness testimony. The focus of both the mishandling of records and obstruction of justice probes has remained on the actions of the for...

Boston politics can go home from October 2022, but it can never leave. The redistricting spectacle was back in the spotlight on multiple fronts on Monday, when a sitting congressman was testifying in federal court against the council’s process from this past fall and a city councilor filed a hearing order seeking to have the body go back and look at it all again.A cast of Boston political characters coalesced at the John Joseph Moakley U.S. Courthouse in what was day four of at least six in a series of proceedings that will come before a judge will decide whether to implement a preliminary injunction to stop implementation of the map the council passed last fall. The proceedings, which have already included the testimony of three current or former city councilors, continue to rehash the arguments on October, with the councilors representing South Boston and Dorchester and their allies alleging that the mapmakers acted improperly in the changes they made to Dot-centric District 3...

Defenders Saturday night at Camping World Stadium. It was a moment the first-year coach wouldn’t likely forget anytime soon and if he needed a reminder, he only had to touch the bump on the left side of his head.“I have a knot on the side of my head from them (the players) hitting me with the bucket of water,” Buckley said, describing the postgame celebration. “They hit me so hard I came out of my shoe. I’ll never forget it.”For Buckley, whose accomplishments include a successful college career at Florida State that led to a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame and an NFL career capped off with a Super Bowl win in 2002, Saturday’s performance ranks among the best.“Besides the Super Bowl, it’s in the top 5,” he said. “The Super Bowl is No. 1 but this is the to...

Disney-DeSantis war of words heats up

ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney CEO Bob Iger on Monday said any retaliatory actions by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature against the company that threaten jobs or expansion at its Florida resort is not only “anti-business … but anti-Florida.”Answering a question during an online shareholders’ meeting, Iger said that the Republican governor and lawmakers appeared to be retaliating against the company for exercising its constitutional rights. He referred to the incident last year when Disney criticized Florida’s law dubbed by critics “Don’t Say Gay” while Bob Chapek was helming the company at the time. The measure bars instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in kindergarten through third grade, as well as lessons deemed not age-appropriate.In response, Florida lawmakers passed, and DeSantis signed, legislation revamping the government-like board that oversees Walt Disney World’s 27,000-...

The message inside the Orlando Magic’s locker room hasn’t changed. So even as they walked off the court and left Amway Center after their dominant 128-102 win over the Detroit Pistons knowing their chances of making the play-in tournament diminished, they did so without losing sight of the bigger picture: development and growth that can extend beyond this season.“We put ourselves in a great position this year,” Jalen Suggs said. “We had a slow start, but we bounced back, went on a winning streak, really played well and kind of just made a name for ourselves now. The Magic aren’t the Magic of last year where it’s ‘we’ve got a free win coming in here’ [or] ‘this team is in a complete rebuilding process’. We’re winning now.”The Magic’s win over the Pistons was their sixth victory in eight games and their largest margin of victory this season. They’re 29-25 since Dec. 5 — No. 11 in the le...
